- Ventilation: it’s a key concern for farmers as grain does require air movement within the confines of its storage facility.

- Capacity: the storage unit should be designed with expansion in mind. In addition to this, we will fabricate your steel frame to meet your storage requirements. Grain is very heavy, and usually requires reinforced walls to withstand the pressure which is placed on the walls.

Along with WBC they have project managed the ground works, the steel frame buildings and the concrete works. They have also dealt with the tricky area of CDM. JRC work extremely well with the other contractors who have been involved in fitting the buildings out with specialist equipment.

Their latest project was the construction of a 6000t grain store and 3000t refrigerated potato store on our Fenland farm. The project was completed on time to a high standard. We have been very please with JRC’s performance.

I have been pleased how they have offered innovative and constructive suggestions as projects progress on ways of overcoming issues as they arise.

I have also introduced them to the Cadbury factory at Chirk and, again, they have proved themselves to be highly competent contractors.

A couple of things that stand out are
a) their work ethic such that jobs are completed on time and with minimum disruption – an important factor when working on a 24/365 food production site, and
b) the personable nature of their employees. I will always consider WBC/JRC in future and have no hesitation in recommending them to other organisations.
