Woonton Building Contractors Ltd is an associate company of JRC that was formed by John Ruck and Richard Tomkins in 1994. As a Director, Richard Tomkins brings to the company more than 30 years of experience in the provision of building and civil engineering from the agricultural and industrial markets, and his specialist knowledge ensures that our customers receive the best solution to their requirements.

The company evolved out of a need to have specialist skills and resources available for the growing demands of our customers’ civil engineering requirements. By utilising our partnership with John Ruck Construction Ltd, (JRC) we are able to offer expert advice and management on all aspects of our projects. Many projects require multi-disciplined teams and clients benefit from the enormous expertise the 'whole' can bring compared with liaising with individual contractors. This also enables the client to have a full turnkey project utilising the wealth of experience and skills that we have available, which fit seamlessly into our operations.

Woonton Building Contractors undertake short and long term civil engineering and construction projects including highway infrastructure, building construction, incorporating all trades such as groundworks, reinforced concrete works, foundations, brick/block work, grain stores, silage pits, drainage, hardstandings, industrial concrete flooring, environmental and water services for corporate, private and public sectors.

As part of the move to speed up the laying of large areas of concrete and ensure the accuracy of our concrete floors, we now utilise a concrete laser screed. This machine levels, screeds the concrete and vibrates it smooth in a single pass, allowing in excess of 1000 square metres of concrete to be laid to accurate levels per day. This machine enables us to provide an extremely fine finish appropriate to today's modern buildings.
